We Are The Same

We are exactly the same.






Well, except you could be a little taller. Or shorter. You might not even be the same gender as I am. You might even be transgender. We probably don't look alike at all.

You could be older than me. Or younger than me. Maybe you go to a public school, or a private school, or a university, or maybe you're already in your career. Or perhaps you are unemployed.

You might be gay, lesbian, or straight. Maybe even bisexual. You might not even be into that sort of thing at all and are chaste for life.

You could be single, married, or have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Maybe you play around.

Your hair could be blonde, brown, black, or orange. Maybe blue, or purple. It could even be all kinds of colors. It could be short, long, or maybe you have it all shaved off. Maybe you have facial hair, or maybe you're clean shaven, or you could even not be able to grow facial hair.

You could have a mental disorder or a handicap. You could have lost a limb, or have never been able to use them in the first place. Maybe you were born without them. Maybe you can't talk or hear.

You could be interested in different things. Maybe you play video games or card games. Maybe you prefer horror movies, or maybe you prefer romance or action. You could not even like movies. You could be very social, or very introverted. You could have hundreds of friends or just a few.

You could be very studious, or maybe you're a bit loose.

You could be Christian, or Jewish. Maybe even Muslim or Wiccan. You could be Polytheistic, Monotheistic, Atheistic, or perhaps just Agnostic. You could be very religious, or maybe you aren't even religious at all. Maybe you claim to be a religion, but don't really follow it.

You could be a Democrat, or a Republican, or maybe one of the smaller parties. You might even live in another country and have a completely different system of politics.

You could be the type of person to go traveling as often as you can, maybe even move houses quite a bit. Or you could be the type of person who prefers everything as it is, and likes to stay put.

You could be afraid of change. Or you could be pursuing it.

But, we are both humans. We are both people. We both can think and feel. We both have dreams, goals, hopes, wishes, and plans. We both have a life to live and a story to tell.





And that's enough of a similarity for me.
